This consultation seeks views on proposals to simplify HM Land Registry’s Scale 2 registration fees. The proposed approach would replace the current Scale 2 fee structure with a fixed fee model, providing a simpler and more predictable way of charging for registration services. The consultation also seeks preliminary views on the potential for future simplification of Scale 1 fees. We welcome responses from anyone with an interest in HM Land Registry’s fees and services, including conveyancers, solicitors, lenders, professional and representative bodies, business and members of the public who use or are affected by registration services.
