Consultation description

We want to know what you think about a proposal to phase out carbon dioxide stunning of pigs.

We are asking for views on a proposal to ban the use of carbon dioxide for stunning of pigs in slaughterhouses and knackers yards. We are also asking for views on the transition period before any proposed ban might come into force.

We also want to gather more information on the impacts on industry.
