Response to the Indian Ministry of Civil Aviation's statement on Air India Flight AI-171.

The Indian Ministry of Civil Aviation issued a statement on the progress of the Indian Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau’s investigation.

A DfT spokesperson said:

This was a tragic accident, and our thoughts remain with the victims and their families.

We acknowledge the Indian authorities’ statement and we look forward to the publication of the final investigation report in due course.
