Improvement work to our building continues

Work to replace the windows in the 1970s part of our building continues and from late Spring will move to the first floor. The work is due to be completed by the end of August. Our existing aluminium double-glazed windows are now over 40 years old and it is time to replace them.

This will ensure we continue to protect and conserve our collections. The new windows will not alter how our building looks.

During May and June, visitors in our reading room will experience some noise disruption, most likely in the mornings. We apologise in advance for the disruption and thank you for your support and understanding during these major improvement works to our site.

Visitors to our exhibition, MI5: Official Secrets, will not be affected by this work.
